Raymond Maceira
Partner
Mr. Maceira has been a trial attorney with the firm since 1995. As a fluent Spanish speaker, Ray acts as liaison with all Spanish-speaking clients and leads the firm’s lead paint poisoning department, by representing children who have sustained severe health damages due to the ingestion of lead-based paint and dust.
Mr. Maceira was born and raised in Queens, New York, the son of immigrant parents of Latino descent. He graduated from St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. He then attended Brooklyn Law School, where he was an officer in the Hispanic Law Students Association and a Brooklyn Law Students for the Public Interest (BLSPI) Fellow.
As a BLSPI Fellow, he worked for Brooklyn Legal Service Corporation in South Brooklyn assisting in the representation of indigent clients involved in housing and landlord-tenant disputes. He later spent a year with Brooklyn Law School’s Elder Law Clinic.
Always a fighter for the less privileged, Mr. Maceira has made it a point to provide quality representation to our injured clients — including lead-poisoned children — and in doing so, has obtained significant compensation on their behalf from such negligent parties as landlords, governmental agencies, corporations, construction companies, and others. Mr. Maceira is zealously committed to fighting for the rights of the less fortunate and seriously injured clients and obtaining justice on their behalf.
