The Vice Chairman of the Brooklyn Community Improvement Association, Ms. Liu, says that the free legal consultation and seminars that are regularly held in the Chinese community receive excellent responses. Every week people come for legal consultations and they learn about the law and how to protect their own rights. In order to continue to assist Chinese immigrants in the community who are having difficulties, this time the community center has invited specialists from various hospitals to participate in the seminar and provide health care information to members of the community.
At the seminar, immigration attorney, Ryan Muennich will address the new regulation on the Provisional Unlawful Presence Waiver (I-601A), which was implemented in March of this year. He will explain in detail which population this new regulation applies to, the application process, limitations, etc. Workplace injury and personal injury attorney Salvatore Aspromonte will give a presentation on obtaining compensation through lawsuits. The above attorneys have Chinese interpreters. Over the years, they’ve succeeded in helping Chinese victims obtain millions of dollars at trial.
This Thursday the seminar will take place on the first floor of the Community Center located at 720 57th Street on 7th Avenue Brooklyn from 1:00PM to 3:00PM in the afternoon. Free lunch and refreshments will be served. We welcome all members of the Chinese community to join us.
