Once you are down there and have a metro card it is important to understand exactly where you need to go and how to get there, the subway lines are color coordinated, and the stations are labeled. NYC is built like a grid and has different boroughs that indicate what direct or where you are headed. Use the maps and employees to your benefit, and travel safely.
